BIOGRAPHY – DJ

STEVEN GELLER made his first mix tape when he was just 8 years old! Utilizing 2 tape players for the tracks and using his voice ‘beatboxing’ to mix the tracks together! However, it wasn’t until 2008 that he decided to make the leap onto the DJ scene. Steven is definitely a one off! And that’s reflected in the unmistakable, unpredictable yet always infectious and unique sound and showmanship that he delivers – every set, without fail. He is something fresh and vibrant when he bounces onto the decks. It was this energy and his vibe that quickly caught peoples attention – Luckily for Steven, it was the right people’s attention and less than a year later in 2009 he was delighted when he won BEST NEW DJ in the LONDON SCENE AWARDS. Things stepped up a gear from there, starting with a weekly main floor residency at POPCORN – HEAVEN. Where he had the chance to showcase his flair and hone his skills further to regular crowds of over 2500 people. From there he joined the global clubbing super brand ORANGE NATION, making him the youngest ever DJ to secure a full time residency at FIRE & AREA Superclubs where he featured regularly at some of their biggest and most iconic nights including ORANGE, A:M, GRAVITY, LATER and the main floor of the legendary BEYOND CLUB.

HE HAS PLAYED FOR THE BIGGEST CLUBS IN THE UK INCLUDING:

MINISTRY OF SOUND,PACHA, BRIXTON ACADEMY, EGG, CABLE, FABRIC, PROUD2 (02 ARENA), ASTORIA, KOKO, CORONET, THE FRIDGE (ELECTRIC BRIXTON), COLOSSEUM, FIRE, AREA, LIGHTBOX, HEAVEN, SCALA, THE DEN, COVERT, BARCODE, LO PROFILE, CRASH (UNION), FLAMINGOS (BRISTOL) PULSE (CARDIFF) KU CLUB, THE BOX, BRIXTON CLUB HOUSE (DEX), ESCAPE, MADAME TUSSAUDS, THORPE PARK, SEA LIFE, LONDON EYE AND MANY MORE.

Plus massive international circuit brands -

SUPERMARTXE, SPACE, MATINEE, CAFE OLE, TRADE, DTPM, SALVATION and the IBIZA FOAM PARTY.

Steven puts his talent to full use playing off 4 CDJs – not a laptop, giving him his stand out, signature sound. He remixes impromptu and drops aural surprises and creates live club music moments that really, simply can not be imitated. The boy likes to remix on the fly. Quoted in the press as “having to be seen to believed, Steven layers tracks with samples and acapellas to keep the crowd on their toes and not knowing what to expect next. His sound is hard to categorize as dependant on the crowd, he flows between progressive, tech, tribal, & electro, deep and Old Skool Funk!”

house music = love

‘…Anyone who can seamlessly play 4 records at the same time, slip in the originals of Nirvana’s ‘Smells like teen spirit’, AC/DC’s Highway to hell’ or the Stone’s ‘Satisfaction’ into the middle of a house set whilst sampling 2 Unlimited’s ‘Get ready for this’ and get away with it definitely gets a big thumbs up…’                       timeout_logo
